Achievements

In the last two years Hillary Collegiate has

•  Helped develop the North Otara Educational Pathway with three schools to combine on the Hillary site
•  Raised expectations and student achievement as shown in unit standards passed and examination results
•  Improved community participation with regular parent meetings and home visits by community liaison staff
•  Improved student morale as shown in participation at assemblies
•  Improved property including new admin facilities
•  Improved quality of teaching
•  Maintained its high standing for providing extra-curricular activities
•  Trial of new initiatives to engage students in learning
•  Improved staff performance management system and review processes
•  Extended and improved Guidance and Pastoral Care systems for behaviour and attendance
•  Established closer working relationships with nearby schools and Manukau Institute of Technology
